Hornbeam is easily maintained between 1 – 5 meters it is easy to keep a neat formal hedge shape and is a perfect alternative to evergreen hedge plants as it retains its leaves all year round changing colour in Autumn to a coppery brown it is perfect for encouraging nesting birds to settle in your garden!

Catkins appear in Spring which develop into small fruits excellent for feeding the hungry birds!

Planting 3 plants per metre should give a Growth rate 20-40 cm

Plant in any fertile soil
